Who is behind Red Line for Gaza?
Coordinated by War Child UK and Oxfam GB, Red Line for Gaza is a movement designed to be spread by organisations and individuals, leveraging our collective voices to end the suffering in Gaza.

Will any organisation financially benefit from this campaign?
No. The aim of Red Line for Gaza is to end the suffering of civilians in Gaza by demanding UK government take action and end their complicity.  We are not asking for donations directly, but many organisations have fundraising appeals that you are welcome to support.

I want my organisation to join this campaign. How can I get involved?
Please contact info@redlineforgaza.org.uk if you'd like to create your own posts using the Red Line for Gaza assets. You're also welcome to share any of the posts already created by other organisations.

Can I send letters to my MP if I am under 18?
Yes, young people are welcome to engage with issues important to them and have a right to get in touch and be heard by their Member of Parliament.

I am not located in the UK. What can I do to get involved?
Please only send a letter to an MP if you are a UK resident. If you’re not a UK resident, you can get involved by sharing our posts on social media.

What happens to my data?
Your email address and the other key bits of information you share will be securely stored on the Organic Campaign platform this campaign is connected to. If you provide us with permission, we will send you an email each week to let you know that there is a new email that you can send. You can unsubscribe from these at any time. We will not contact you for any other reason and will not store your data beyond the end of this campaign. You can also view our Privacy Policy: https://www.warchild.org.uk/privacy-policy

How else can I support Gaza?
Please share information about Red Line for Gaza on social media, or just by messaging your friends with the link www.redlineforgaza.org.uk - the more people that know about this campaign, the more pressure MPs will be under to act. You can share and sign other campaigns and petitions and donate to charities working in Gaza.

Why aren’t you talking about West Bank?
There is a unique humanitarian situation happening in Gaza. 2.1 million people face extreme hunger. People – especially children, pregnant women and the elderly - are being treated in hospitals for severe malnutrition. More than 67,000 people have died and at least 170,000 have been injured in Gaza since October 2023. We believe that focusing on Gaza for this specific campaign will help to focus attention on this crisis.

Why aren’t you calling for hostages to be released?
Many organisations have and continue to make those calls, but Red Line for Gaza is designed to ask the government to respond to a simple question - what else are they going to do to end the suffering of people in Gaza?

I work in the media. How do I get in touch?
Please contact War Child UK’s PR Manager Daniel Jones: danielj@warchild.org.uk

I have a specific question, who can I contact?
You can email info@redlineforgaza.org.uk

What is your position on using terminology such as ‘genocide’?
We recognise that many organisations and experts are using the term genocide to describe the situation in Gaza. The term has a specific legal meaning, and formal determinations are ultimately made by international courts. Regardless of terminology, the scale of civilian suffering and loss of life is catastrophic. Our focus is on protecting civilians, ensuring accountability, and calling for an end to the violence.
